Iran strongly rejects Trump's contact claims

TEHRAN, Jun. 11 (MNA) – Iran's IRGC on Thursday strongly rejected claims by President Donald Trump that Iranian officials had reached out to him seeking a halt to US bombings.

In a statement, the IRGC public relations office said Trump's claim about contact with Iranian officials is strongly rejected and described it as a cover for fleeing the conflict.

The statement did not elaborate further.

Trump had asserted in remarks that officials of the Islamic Republic asked him to stop the bombardments. No evidence was provided for the claims, and the IRGC rejection was categorical.
